When your relationship feels disconnected, communication has broken down, or life has become overwhelming, choosing the right therapist matters. You deserve someone with the experience, expertise, and compassion to help you create meaningful, lasting change.
Dr. Brandon Hollie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, relationship researcher, professor, speaker, and Founder & CEO of Hollie Therapy & Counseling in Chicago. Over the course of his career, he has worked with thousands of couples and families, helping them navigate communication challenges, conflict, infidelity, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting concerns, and major life transitions. His approach combines genuine compassion with research-backed strategies that empower clients to strengthen their relationships and improve their overall well-being.
What sets Dr. Hollie apart is the unique combination of clinical expertise, academic leadership, and research experience he brings to every session. As an Assistant Teaching Professor in Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University, he prepares the next generation of therapists while continuing to work directly with clients. His doctoral research explored how poverty and neighborhood conditions impact mental health and relationships within Black families, shaping a culturally responsive, evidence-based approach that recognizes both individual and systemic influences on well-being.
Dr. Hollie specializes in helping couples rebuild trust after infidelity, improve communication, strengthen emotional intimacy, navigate premarital preparation, resolve family conflict, and work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life stressors. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all advice, he partners with clients to understand their unique story and develop practical tools that lead to lasting change—not just temporary relief.
As Founder and CEO of Hollie Therapy & Counseling, Dr. Hollie leads a team committed to providing exceptional relationship and mental health services throughout the Chicago area. The practice is dedicated to making high-quality, culturally responsive care accessible while helping individuals, couples, and families build healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Beyond the therapy room, Dr. Hollie is a speaker, educator, and advocate for mental health awareness. He regularly presents on topics including relationships, family systems, mental health disparities, resilience, and strengthening communities, helping reduce stigma while expanding access to quality mental health care.
When he's not seeing clients, teaching, or conducting research, Dr. Hollie enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exploring Chicago, and investing in initiatives that strengthen families and create healthier communities.
